The Manila International Book Fair 2016: Our first!

I really have no plans of going to Manila International Book Fair if not for the Transformed: Mula sa Pagiging Transwoman Book Launch.

I recently bought used good books from our Sister in Christ and I'm trying to control my self from hording books.

We came there on a Saturday afternoon with my boys: hubby and the kiddos. The place was packed with shoppers. There was a long line in the entrance. Good thing we have our tickets printed so no need to line-up for it. I also have a list of books with me that I needed to buy for our homeschooling.

Our first stop was Tahanan Books. The booth was packed so it was hard to check on the items.

Novuhair Supports Alopecia Areata Awareness in Celebrating Inner Strength

September marks the month-long commemoration of Alopecia Areata awareness worldwide. Alopecia areata is a condition when hair loss occurs due to faults in the immune system attacking the hair follicles which results in partial or total loss of hair on the head and other parts of the body.

Leading this year’s celebration in the country is Alopecia The Philippines, a group founded by singer and songwriter Abby Asistio in 2012. She has been championing the cause of empowering citizens with this condition.

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

Just like I'm a late bloomer when it comes to online shopping, which I shared when I posted about Groupon Goods, I'm also a newbie to couponing. Well, I'm not the "extreme" type but I recently build my stash and It all started when I ventured into blogging.

REVIEW: Christian Gautier Feminine Eau De Parfum for Women

Finding the right perfume is quite challenging especially with a lot of selections in the market to choose from. In the same way, it is also burdensome deciding on whether to spend greatly on designer perfume brands or opt for more budget-friendly fragrances.

As for me, I'll go for the latter. In fact, I'm not really a perfume aficionado. I'm good with baby colognes. Most of the time, I prefer a light smell which I can wear all day without getting a headache. But it's good to try something new, agree? So, I was happy enough to try this Christian Gautier Feminine Eau De Parfumfor Women sent to me by Lazada a few days ago.

Shopping Made Easy with Groupon

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

If there's one person who introduced me to online shopping, it was my husband. You know how most men hated shopping? Well, my husband would rather go online, click and after a few days, voila! Purchase is delivered.

When I go shopping, I make sure that I wear flats and comfy clothes because I know I’ll be in battle. I’m a frugal person so I consider a lot of things before buying; the price, quality, design and the list go on.

I remember there were instances in the past where I will go and look for a pair of shoes and it will take me an exhausting four hours searching for the best one within my budget. I usually end up buying things out of frustration. If my husband is generous enough, he will give me an additional budget so the search is over.

Homeschoolers Conquer Science

We attended the Homeschoolers Conquer Science last August 13, 2016, which was held at the Bayanihan Center Unilab, Pasig City. This event was hosted by Homeschool Global (formerly TMA).

The event was a science fair opened to homeschoolers only. There were different workshopsbooths featuring Science and  Technology and exhibit items in the form of an invention or experiments.

Here are some of our photos taken during the event.

Exploring Creation with Astronomy - Experiments and Activities

We're finally done with Exploring Creation with Astronomy. I'm glad that we decided to switch to Apologia Curriculum. This book is in a conversational style making it so appealing to Gabi. The information is quite in-depth and we love the step-by-step instructions for experiments and engaging activities at the end of each lesson.

We did read-aloud before because I want to learn together with Gabi. However, during his free time, he would sneak out and read in advance. So, I'm always left behind. On the latter part of our school year, I decided to let him read alone.

I'd like to share the activities and experiments that we made. If we only have all the resources, we could have done it all, but we just chose the most feasible. You can also check the lapbook that we made for this subject here.
