Maundy Thursday, I was
cleaning upstairs and sorting-out some old stuff when I stumbled on
this valedictory address.

Art Time: Bleeding Crepe Paper
“Art
washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ~ Pablo Picaso
I
was thinking of art activity for my homeschooler and I’m just glad I can always run to Pinterest for some ideas.
Last Saturday, we made Bleeding Crepe Paper Art using materials available at home.

We used left-over crepe papers and water to make colorful prints.

Photography by Romel
Photography has become
hubby's other favorite thing. I shared before he got interested in graphics and layout.
With that, hubby, has been the event photographer in the family and even in some of our Dgroup events. You would notice he is often missing in some pictures, but that's the cost of it, right? :)
To further his photography skills, he recently enrolled in Shaw Academy and
completed the Diploma in Photography.
The Shaw Academy is a professional training and higher
education institution dedicated to making the highest quality, practical
education accessible to all.
He
took Basic Photography, although he knew the basic already thru YouTube
tutorials. He got a really good deal from Metrodeal (actual price is really
costly)!
This
April, he will be covering a major event of his life (yes, it's his major). He
will be the documentation head in the upcoming Unconditional Retreat 2.0 and I'm really
excited for him!
Here
are some of his shots.

Unconditional Retreat 2.0

"Men are from Mars, women are from Venus"
Men and women are wired differently. We were created based on our God-given roles as husbands and wives. No wonder there are misunderstandings along the way. As wives, we want our husbands to act the way we want them to be. We even try to change them in order to pattern our own expectations which often resulted in frustrations.

Adiós
When I started to understand and internalized my biblical role as a wife and mother, my conviction was to be at home with my kids, parenting and teaching them while they are young.
"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." ~ Deuteronomy 6:6-7 ESV

Origami in Action
We introduced origami to our eldest when he was about 5. Our goal at first is to divert him from playing gadgets or watching too much TV.
